A good base for exploring New Orleans.

we appreciated this place, it has nice food and location. our standard queen room had central heating, an iron and a flat-screen television. easy base for exploring new orleans.

The street, it was too noisy.

The location is absolutely perfect; in fact, it's the best thing about the hotel; it's also a typical and beautiful building

attention at the reception, during the morning is very good, staff at night is quite dry and unpleasant. first night they gave me a room without a window of any kind (only the 4 walls around); claustrophobic. light didn't work, shower didn't work, water came out of a tap in the sink, TV didn't work. the next day I explained all this and asked to be moved to another room. room of the last two days was very big, nice, with two balconies to the street; everything worked, except the sink, must have been stuck and water didn't run. I don't want to hurt the reception staff during the day, who are very kind and friendly

Position of the hotel adjacent to the national wwii museum and possibility to visit harrah's new orleans. Nice breakfast and location. Downtown New Orleans neighbourhood definitely deserves your time and attention. We liked staying at St. James.

Our room didn't have a window. They didn't voluntarily replace the amenities. And they didn't clean very well (under the bed there were shoes of the previous guest)

Poor breakfast

Perfect location. Very good breakfast and very comfortable and nice beds and room

loose cleaning. In the three days I was there, floor was not swept and morning receptionists were charming, afternoon regular and evening receptionist very unpleasant. Ill-mannered, even.

Proximity

location and ground floor of the hotel is very nice. It is not in the tourist center but very close to walk. At the entrance there is water with ice at all hours and coffee in the morning, so you can have more than one after breakfast if you want. friendly daytime reception staff

They do unusual things for us. They gave us the wrong room the first night. The second day they didn't clean our room. One day a woman woke us up at eight o'clock in the morning to give us a huge batch of towels that we never knew why (waking up so early and why so many towels). The last day they woke us up very early to tell us that at eleven we had to leave the room, it was necessary to wake up at eight? Anyway, these are things that make you doubt if I would recommend the hotel

It was horrible. We had to wait to get our room past check in time. The ac didnt work well. The bed was hard. The room was not vacuumed. At 300am it was so loud we couldnt sleep.
